Enrichment
Participation enriches your educational experience and helps build a well-rounded skill set for future study and to improve your employability.
We have a range of sports, arts and societies you can sign up to. There is everything from 3D Puzzle Club to 'Make Me Famous Boot Camp'. We take a holistic approach to education and we believe that these enriching activities contribute to the well-being and mindfulness of our students. There are opportunities to take part in competitions and performances each term. Every student will find a club that they will love and enjoy.
The programme is categorised into four main areas:
- Leadership in Service (e.g., Fundraising Committee, Student Council)
- Clubs (e.g., Board Games Club, Salsa, Clay Club, Rainbow Club)
- Curriculum Enrichment (e.g., STEM Club, Young Enterprise, Business Computing Club), and Extra-Curricular Enrichment (e.g., Cybersecurity, Debate Club, Code Wizards).
- Our Sports Activity programme promotes physical health and teamwork through various sports, including rugby, football, boxing and basketball. With over 50 different enrichment activities there is something for everyone.
Clay Modelling Art Club: First time I went art club I felt welcomed by Ms Hemsley. I loved working with the Art teachers, especially making different clay models. We had music in the background and a few pictures on Pinterest of ideas of what we could make! Clay modelling is an amazing way to de-stress and feel free! Both Art teachers are amazing welcome anyone who comes to their club no matter their artistic ability.
When I do street dance classes I feel free and put all my energy into it. It’s so fun and enjoyable and a way I can meet new friends. When we are on the stage dancing it feels amazing and I feel I belong. I have also done some yoga enrichment which took my mind off things that were worrying me and helped my wellbeing. My body got stronger and I was able to relax. - Arina
Taking part in the More than a Woman Enrichment gives us confidence and allows us to speak about our situations and hear other people’s opinions. It gives us positive vibes and the opportunity to make new friends. We have learnt a lot about different areas affecting women. We’ve been on some great trips such as visiting a gallery near college which supports women artists. This week we went to see ‘Ballet Shoes’ at the National Theatre and Lorna organised a Christmas celebration with pizza and presents. - Hamida, Max and Diana
Rainbow club is a safe space where nobody is judged yet everyone is accepted. It feels like a second home to me and the other club members. - Dani
